Re: [computer-go] Third KGS tournament: results
If a player is forced to take a bye because of an odd number of players
in a round, it gets a full point. If a player is a no-show, they get 1/2
point. So in an 8 person tournament, you would expect 4 points (from 4
games) per round; but if one player was a no-show, they get 1/2 point,
and the player with no opponent gets a full point, leading to a round
where 4+1/2 points were handed out.
