good point.  :)

hm.  the thing is, expecting gnugo or some other
piece of code to evaluate the scoring of the board
assumes that everyone's code will progress to the
point that it's gnugo-evaluable.  and that 
non-gnugo-evaluable positions will somehow get
noticed otherwise.
