To me it makes sense that the server be able to score games. We have a student working on a server to act as a TD for computer-computer games, and the ability to score games is on the feature list. I also think that while the server should score the games, any disputed games where the 2 programs and the server do not agree should still be subject to appeal to humans after the fact. We all know that programs are not perfect. Cheers, David On 9, Jun 2005, at 10:45 AM, Chris Fant wrote:
And mine: 1. When B, W both pass, request final_status_list 2. If both implement final_status_list and the results are the same, we are done 3. If not, let a capable program score the game.Again, too much logic in the server. Isn't it obvious that the server should be really simple and dumb? Otherwise, it will eventually be wrong. _______________________________________________ computer-go mailing list computer-go@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.computer-go.org/mailman/listinfo/computer-go/
