Re: [computer-go] Go library and other projects

don't know if 250+ downloads this year indicates there are actually
that many people working on computer-Go, but at least I never expected
so many to be interested enough to download something you can't
actually play or run. Maybe someone can shed some light on what that
would actually mean in terms of real computer-Go activity?
Well i think there are at 250 wanna be gomputer go programmers then who
never find time/energy to actually start. I think at some point of time
there will be few programs using tesuji library for tactical analysis.
- Update the Go library to take advantage of the new possibilities of
Java 5. Still a lot to do, potentially.
- Porting to J2ME turned out trivial, so I also have Goliath running
on a mobile phone. Plays plenty fast too. Not sure yet where I could
take this, could be something cool.
Aren't these contradicting goals? At least for a while. Althoug phones
usually have (GSM al least) 104 MHz clock speed it propably wont be a
great platform for future development
