what is the problem with having the bots play on their time during disagreement? if your bot can't play all valid moves on time, it will loose with bots that simply do not pass. what do you gain with that "no timing restriction"? i believe you gain absolutely nothing, and you have to give up on having tournaments like the kgs ones - fixed time for each round, little waiting between rounds. in fact, you have to schedule each round months apart - who says my bot can decide what to do in case of disagreement in less than a month?
