I sort of suspect that there is a lot of material in people minds and
computers that just needs to be written up right now.. For example, I
would have liked to see Antti's pattern stuff in more detail and with
more evaluation...

Certainly there is a lot of knowledge in this field that needs to be
captured and written down, especially in the practical (design,
implementation) part that has been suggested.

Then again, getting the practical papers won't be the problem (a
round-trip invitation to most go projects to write down their
experiences with specific areas will already be enough for a year or
two), research papers perhaps will, perhaps not...
