If I were to play on in this manner against you, it would be an insult
to your intelligence.  I know that you can handle such invasions, and to
imply otherwise would be offensive.

But Fungo evidently cannot handle such invasions.  To imply that your
opponent is stupid when they are stupid is excusable.

The answer is not a gentleman's agreement about what constitutes
territory.  It is better programs, that know what constitutes territory
and what has to be done to defend it.  I am confident that next time
Fungo competes in such an event, it will respond robustly to such
tricks.
