If Ray uses "position" as a parameter for Position, Situation,
or Context and if position==Context and if Context refers to
rules with Japanese scoring and also includes prisoner counts,
then you might be right because a difficult variant of superko
could refer to such a Context. Sorry Ray if I should have 
overlooked this context if you should have meant it:) This
reminds me of lesfables' proposal of superko variants to be
used only in a context of Japanese hypothetical confirmation
games...

If the preceding paragraph should be too confusing, superko
for Chinese scoring can be simpler than superko for Japanese
scoring and some superko variants for Chinese scoring are
simpler than others.
