Re: [computer-go] Third KGS tournament: results

I am planning the fourth KGS computer Go tournament for Sunday July
10th. It will be 9x9, and will, like the third, start at about 16:00
GMT. I plan to retain the two-division system. Provisionally I am
thinking of time limits of 15 minutes each sudden death, and an
eight-round Swiss format (if there are fewer than eight entrants in
either division, some pairings will be repeated). If anyone would like
some changes to this, they should let me know soon, before I finalise
it.

Nick,

I really enjoyed the round robin format. Is there any chance we could
have another round robin?
The problem with round robins is that they are an open commitment on my time. When a round robin ends depends on the number of entrants, which cannot be known in advance. It's not the time itself that I mind about, but I shall need to go to bed sometime, so the tournament had better be over by then.

In this case, the games are small and the time limits fast, so we can have a round robin. In the unlikely event that there are more than 16 entrants for one of the divisions, I shall split that division.
