"unusual" will be hard to define. My own experimental
program "goto" uses UDP packets to communicate with a
"pattern server" program, which could be on a separate
machine. This causes a few [100--1000] "unusual" packets
to be exchanged.

IMO the simplest way to prevent "reversed cheating"
would be to avoid/minimise _human_ access to the
[sub] net. This would keep "the Turk" out of the
machine :-)
For "remote play" this, of course, is impossible.
Trust will always be a factor.
