Re: [computer-go] Asian software
Alli,
I would like to second this suggestion to use a Yahoo!Groups account.
I am in 6 YGs, have been for over 3 years on several and I think they work great. Every now and
then, the group can take more than a couple of minutes to distribute a posted message. However,
when that starts happening (maybe once very 2-3 months for around a day), I just go to the
web-based interface which is immediate (perhaps it is just mail-servers being sluggish).
Benefits:
- uses email directly to my Inbox.
- Allows me to turn off email and just view message through web GUI (which I might use during a
language war storm just to reduce the noise).
- Allows me to see the other registered users
- Aloows me to post files easily to allow other members to easily retrieve them
- Web GUI is very polished and works Yahoo! well.
Anyway, several of the groups I am in both use the message forum as well as the files section. I
cannot speak for the other features (which could be quite useful).
