It is very hard for me imagining that GNU Go lost to DumbGo, still it
did in one of the games. The 9x9 tournament was pretty much a lottery,
with anyone winning against anyone else. With very small differences
in the results any of the first six programs could have won the gold.

The GNU Go loss against DumbGo is actually quite interesting and I
have appended the sgf below. To begin with there is no question that
the two moves F6 and G6 both are very bad shape and should have been
played somewhere else. Now to some questions:

1. After white 36 at J7 black's position clearly is hopeless. But when
was black's last chance to win the semeai on the right side
   (assuming correct white play)?
2. All the semeai trouble could have been avoided if black 11 at F6
had been played at H4 or G3. But could black afford to let white
   play first at the top?
3. If no above, where should black's move 11 have been?
4. Which move was black's first serious mistake?
