But it's your fault because you engineered a program that has no
chance of winning by rules that were established long before your
project began. There has to be a line drawn somewhere, and my
experience (in computer games in general) is that tournaments are long
and gruelling as it is and the trend has been to speed up time
controls, not slow them down.
Your program is handicapped in the sense that you can't win without
your opponent being time handicapped. I think you need to find a way
to play within the accepted rules, or provide your own public matches,
perhaps organizing public and visible matches where you are given a
time advantage.
