Re: [computer-go] SlugGo v.s. Many Faces update
I like the idea of a completely intrinsic performance metric, but I
have only been able to think of one: the error signal between the
expected value of a point (as in 63% chance of becoming black
territory) and the actual result (at the end of the game, this is
black territory) for all points on the board for all moves of the game
when the engine plays against itself. A random player would have an
error signal of 1.0 and a perfect player would have an error signal of
0. Has anyone else used anything like this? Or know of another
intrinsic performance metric?
