I believe this is an excellent way to test and I do the same thing for
my determinstic Go programs.  

How many random moves do you use?  I like giving the last radom move
to black and typically use 5 random moves, 2 for white and 3 for
black.  The odd number seems to make the results more even but I
haven't studied this in a long time.
