I haven't looked at it very closely.  I do size/2+1 random moves.  I
am not currently concerned with the opening.  I can add some kind of
book later when I am more happy with the middle- and end- game play. 
I also have some randomness in the evaluation function, so the opening
is not my only source of variation.
