Re: Is handtalk the strongest program?

Hi,

I am sorry for my late reply, as there was some problem on my email
server these days.
Thanks are due to all who discussed about my Handtalk. Especially, David
Fotland gave an adequate evaluation on Handtalk.
The version of Handtalk for tournament is really somewhat stronger than
the sold version (by about 1 kyu) but much slower. I plan to sell new
versions of Handtalk. The first step is to sell a Windows version to replace
the DOS version being sold. This may be done in one or two months. The
second step is to sell a stronger but slower version. This may be realized
in one year.
I have decided to make a new generation of go program named Goemate.
However, this is very difficult. Until the Ing Cup in last November,
Goemate was still weaker than Handtalk and was beated by Fotland's Many
Faces of Go and Reiss' GO4++. I hope it will grow stronger in several years.
By the way, I suggest Mr. Mans Ullerstam to buy both the Many Faces of Go
and the sold version of GO4++ (The Strongest Game of Go), and to compare the
strength and the style of the three programs. I think that Mr. Mans
Ullerstam will enjoy it very much.
